THE SYSTEM
What is an SEG frame?
SEG stands for Silicone Edge Graphics. A printed fabric has a silicone strip sewn around its perimeter; that edge presses into the channel of a compatible aluminium frame. The resulting tension gives the image a smooth appearance with minimal visible fixings.
For stores, showrooms and events, a frame can remain in place while its fabric face is replaced for a new launch, season or message. Modular construction can also simplify transport and assembly, depending on the size and mounting method.
COMPONENTS
The frame and graphic work as one system.
A precise fit depends on the profile, artwork, fabric choice and silicone-edge sewing.
Aluminium profile
Lightweight, strong profiles can be specified for wall-mounted, freestanding or illuminated indoor displays. The frame can be retained for later campaign graphics.
Printed textile
Fabric is selected for the viewing distance, colour requirements and lighting. The silicone edge is sewn to fit the chosen frame channel and finished dimensions.
Alternative panels
Plastic profiles and rigid PVC panels suit some other display formats. Their attachment and replacement methods differ from a fabric SEG system.
SETUP & REPLACEMENT
How an SEG graphic is installed
01 / Assemble the frame. Connect and secure the profiles according to the specified system, then mount the frame in its intended position. Depending on the profile, an Allen key and other basic tools may be required.
02 / Check the fabric. Lay the printed graphic on a clean surface and identify the orientation and sewn silicone edge before fitting.
03 / Fit the silicone edge. Seat the corners first, then work around the perimeter, pressing the edge evenly into the frame channel without forcing the fabric.
04 / Inspect and refresh. Check alignment and tension. When the campaign changes, remove the fabric carefully and fit the replacement graphic to the same compatible frame.
WHY SEG
A display designed to keep pace with the brand.
Clean visual finish
A correctly sized fabric sits under even tension, creating a broad graphic surface with a slim visible frame.
Repeat use
The aluminium structure can be reused when campaigns change; only the fabric face needs replacement if the dimensions and profile remain the same.
Flexible formats
Wall-mounted, freestanding and illuminated configurations can be planned for different spaces and viewing conditions.
Practical campaign updates
Replaceable fabric can reduce the work involved in changing a visual across a network of stores. The right fit and site access still need planning.
WHERE IT WORKS
SEG frames across branded spaces
Retail stores
Seasonal campaigns, product launches, showroom walls and illuminated in-store communication.
Trade shows & events
Large-format exhibition backdrops and modular displays designed around transport and installation needs.
Offices & interiors
Replaceable fabric artwork, information displays and decorative graphics where a soft finish is preferred.
CHOOSING A DISPLAY
SEG or a traditional panel frame?
An SEG frame suits broad fabric visuals and regular campaign changes. Keeping the structure and replacing only the printed face can be economical over repeated updates, though project costs depend on size, fabric, profile, lighting and installation.
Rigid PVC panels and other framed boards may be the better fit when a hard surface or a different mounting method is required. Their production, transport and replacement process differs from silicone-edge fabric. For outdoor use, the complete frame, fabric and mounting must be specified for the site conditions.
For regular retail rollouts, plan the profile and graphic sizes consistently from the start. That makes future artwork updates easier to coordinate across locations.
