BORAN REKLAM / UV FLATBED PRINTING
PVC Foam Printing
Lightweight boards. Bold visual impact.
Print directly on PVC foam board, often called Forex, for retail displays, indoor signs, exhibitions and promotional graphics. Boran Reklam pairs flatbed UV printing with cutting and finishing to turn approved artwork into ready-to-install panels.
A VERSATILE RIGID SUBSTRATE
What is PVC foam board?
PVC foam is a rigid, relatively light sheet with a smooth print face. It is widely used in visual communications because it is easy to handle and can be cut to different formats. The sheet thickness, density, surface finish and installation method should be selected for the finished piece.
The original page refers to the material as “Forex”, a name commonly used for PVC foam board. A sample helps confirm colour, print detail and the look of the selected surface before a larger run.
DIRECT UV PRINTING
Artwork printed onto the board.
Historically, some graphics for this substrate were produced on adhesive film and then applied to the board. Direct flatbed UV printing places the image on the board itself, removing the separate film-application step for suitable designs. This can simplify production and avoids application bubbles associated with poorly fitted film.
Printed film remains a valid option for some projects. We choose the process according to the artwork, finish, quantity and intended use.
WHY PRINT ON FOREX?
A practical choice for visual campaigns.
Good value for the right brief. Digital UV printing can work well for short runs, changing artwork and repeat orders. The total cost depends on board, ink coverage, cutting and quantities.
Easy to handle. PVC foam is lighter than many other rigid sheet materials, making smaller display parts and temporary panels more manageable for packing and installation.
CONSISTENT PRODUCTION
Designed for one-offs and programmes.
Sharp graphic reproduction. Artwork can be printed directly onto the flat sheet, subject to file quality and the selected print mode.
Suitable for repeat production. Once artwork, board grade and finishing are approved, panels can be reproduced for a campaign or multiple locations. We can label and pack versions by store or destination.
RETAIL GRAPHICS
Give promotions a clean physical form.
PVC foam board can carry shelf-end graphics, header panels, promotional signs and temporary point-of-sale pieces. Custom shapes can follow a product silhouette or campaign symbol. The light weight helps when panels need to be moved between displays or installed across multiple stores.
Plan the viewing distance, mounting surface and handling frequency. For a branded rollout, include site quantities, language versions and labels in the production brief.
EXHIBITIONS & EVENTS
Panels that travel with the display.
Exhibition walls, presentation panels, directional graphics and product information can be produced on rigid printed board. The selected thickness and support determine how a larger panel should be transported and installed.
Send the stand layout, artwork sizes and delivery sequence so panels can be cut, numbered and packed for a smooth build.
INDOOR SIGNS & WAYFINDING
Clear information in a lightweight format.
For suitable interior settings, printed PVC foam can be used for wall signs, room identification, information panels and temporary wayfinding. Typography, contrast and size should be checked at the intended viewing distance.
For exterior or heavy-use locations, specify exposure, panel grade, support and cleaning before selecting PVC foam. Another substrate may be preferable when greater rigidity, fire performance or long-term weather resistance is required.
SHAPE THE BOARD
Cut to size, contour or display detail.
Panels can be prepared as rectangles or cut around approved artwork to create a distinctive display shape. Holes, slots and clearances for fixing should be included in the production drawing. Leave a suitable bleed and a safe margin for important text near cut edges.
For freestanding pieces, the base, support and panel thickness should be designed together. Samples help assess edge appearance and stability.
COLOUR & QUALITY
Approve what the viewer will see.
Provide high-resolution artwork at the required scale, fonts and linked assets. If colour matching matters, include a reference and allow for a printed sample on the chosen board. The same artwork can look different on bright white, coloured or textured substrates.
We review the artwork, print orientation, coverage, finishing and packing before production. A proof should also show cut lines and any position-specific variations.
MATERIAL CHOICE
When is PVC foam the right board?
Choose PVC foam when a relatively light rigid graphic is important and the installation suits the panel grade. It is especially useful for indoor campaigns, displays and signs that may change with the promotion.
For a façade, permanent outdoor sign or demanding public environment, compare the brief with aluminium composite, acrylic or another specified material. The correct choice depends on load, environment, finish, fire requirements and service period.
DIRECT PRINT VS FILM
Select the process around the job.
Direct UV printing reduces steps where the design can go straight onto the board. Adhesive film can be useful when a particular surface effect or replacement method is needed. Neither method has a universal advantage for every environment.
Discuss quantity, lifespan, budget and expected handling so the print and substrate can be matched to the task.
BEFORE PRODUCTION
A useful project brief.
Send the finished dimensions, quantity, artwork, cut shape, intended location, mounting plan and delivery date. State whether the panels are for an indoor promotion, an exhibition, wayfinding or a longer installation. Include store-by-store quantities if the work is part of a rollout.
Board thickness, print coverage, cut complexity, finishing and packing affect the quotation. We can confirm a sample and production schedule against the complete brief.
CARE & HANDLING
Keep prints ready for display.
Protect finished faces and edges during transport. Store panels flat or properly supported, avoiding heat and pressure that could distort thinner boards. Use a soft, non-abrasive cleaning method approved for the print and substrate.
For high-touch areas, tell us how the panels will be cleaned and replaced, so the specification can address everyday use.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Can you print directly on PVC foam?
Yes. The board can be printed directly with a suitable UV process. Artwork and board finish should be approved for the intended result.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
That depends on the panel grade, fixing, weather exposure and expected service period. Send the location details so the material can be assessed; composite or another substrate may suit some outdoor jobs better.
Can the panels be custom cut?
Yes. Include a vector cut path, dimensions and fixing details with the artwork. We will review edge clearance and bleed.
ORDERING
Can you handle multiple store versions?
We can produce repeated or versioned graphics and coordinate labels and packing by destination when this is included in the project scope.
What determines price?
Panel size, grade, thickness, ink coverage, quantity, cutting, finishing and packing all affect cost. A quotation should be based on the actual artwork and brief.
Can I see a printed sample?
Yes. A sample is useful for confirming colour, fine detail, surface appearance and the proposed finish before the full run.
