WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT

Fabric, light and frame as one system.

An LED fabric light box combines a printed, light-diffusing textile face with an illuminated aluminium frame. A silicone strip sewn around the graphic fits into a channel in the profile, pulling the fabric taut and giving the display a clean edge without visible front fixings.

The original page calls this “frameless textile printing”. The visible face appears nearly frameless, while the engineered profile behind it supports the print and LEDs. The display can be sized and mounted around the project rather than limited to a fixed poster format.

WHY SEG?

Update the visual, keep the frame.

When a promotion changes, the SEG fabric face can usually be removed and replaced while the frame and lighting remain installed. Printed fabric can also be packed more compactly than a rigid face, subject to the chosen material and format.

Retail campaigns, seasonal windows, showrooms and exhibitions benefit from this flexibility. The design should account for the viewing distance, lighting conditions, graphic changes and access to the frame.

ALUMINIUM FRAME PRODUCTION

Profiles selected for the installation.

Boran Reklam offers different aluminium profile options for silicone-edge graphics. Frame depth, dimensions and assembly are selected for the display size, light layout, mounting method and whether the graphic is viewed from one or both sides.

A correctly sized sewn graphic is essential for a smooth, tensioned surface. We coordinate print dimensions, silicone finishing and the profile channel as a complete specification, then check the fit before shipment.

THE BUILD

Three parts, one visual result.

1. LED system. LED modules, drivers, diffusion and frame depth are planned together to achieve the intended brightness and an even appearance.

2. Backlit fabric. A suitable textile and print process help control colour and transmit light. A sewn silicone edge holds the graphic in the profile channel.

3. Aluminium frame. The structure supports the lights and graphic and provides the selected wall, suspended or freestanding installation detail.

BACKLIT PRINTING

Colour designed for illumination.

The original page highlights high-resolution UV-cured printing and Swissqprint technology. Depending on the approved textile and project specification, we select a suitable print process and colour profile for a backlit graphic. A printed proof should be viewed under the intended LED system, as illumination changes how colour and contrast are perceived.

Quality control checks the image, stitching, dimensions and fit. For a network of stores, approved profiles and artwork files help maintain consistency across replacement graphics.

WHY BRANDS USE IT

A clean face with campaign flexibility.

Continuous visual surface. SEG finishing hides the fastening channel behind the fabric and gives the front a contemporary appearance.

Replaceable graphics. The display can support new campaigns without manufacturing a new frame every time, provided dimensions and material specification remain compatible.

Transport-friendly textile. A suitable fabric face may be folded or rolled for shipment according to the textile supplier’s handling advice.

LIGHTING PERFORMANCE

Specify the glow rather than assume it.

Uniformity depends on LED spacing, distance to the fabric, power supply, graphic print and frame geometry. Energy use and LED lifetime depend on the selected components and operating conditions; we confirm these in the technical specification.

If a dimmable system or unusual shape is needed, state it in the brief. Profiles, LED layout and electrical components must be chosen accordingly.

RETAIL & CAMPAIGNS

A visual anchor for busy spaces.

Use an illuminated fabric frame for a retail feature wall, a shopfront campaign, a product launch or a showroom presentation. Seasonal graphics can be swapped while the frame remains in place. The frame, artwork and lighting should be planned together around the site’s viewing angles.

For multi-store programmes, Boran Reklam can coordinate repeatable frame dimensions, artwork versions and store-specific packing.

EXHIBITIONS & BRANDED INTERIORS

Scale the system to the space.

Exhibition stands can use wall-mounted, suspended or double-sided illuminated faces to create visibility from multiple approaches. Hotels, reception areas and galleries can use softer illuminated graphics where the artwork and ambient light are balanced.

Custom sizes and shapes may be possible, subject to frame geometry, support, wiring and the print. Large systems may be divided into modules for transport and installation.

PROFILE CHOICE

Wall mounted, freestanding or double sided.

The original page shows several aluminium profiles and installation types. Wall-mounted frames can create a clean graphic field, while freestanding or double-sided frames help communicate into an open space. Slim profiles are available for suitable dimensions and lighting layouts.

Profile depth and finish should be confirmed against the light system, structural span and access for changing graphics. Bespoke frame colours and mounting accessories can be reviewed for the brand environment.

SILICONE EDGE TENSION SYSTEM

How the graphic becomes seamless.

A silicone strip is sewn to the perimeter of the printed fabric. During installation, the strip is pressed into the aluminium profile channel. The fabric is tensioned across the face, hiding the fixing behind the edge and reducing visible wrinkles when the size and sewing are correct.

This approach differs from a rigid backlit sheet. The textile can often be packed compactly and changed on site, while the frame and LED system stay in position.

MORE THAN ONE VIEW

Double sided displays for open areas.

When audiences approach from both directions, a double-sided frame can carry graphics on each face. The profile, electrical access and suspension or base detail must accommodate the two illuminated surfaces.

For repeated campaigns, identify each graphic by side and location so changeovers remain straightforward.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Protect the fabric, frame and LEDs.

Follow the cleaning instructions supplied for the specific printed fabric. Some textiles permit careful spot cleaning, but washing should only be used when the approved print and silicone finish allow it. Let a cleaned graphic dry fully before refitting.

Wipe aluminium profiles with a suitable soft cloth. Switch off and isolate power before electrical inspection; LED modules and drivers should be checked by a qualified technician. Store replacement fabrics clean, dry and protected from creasing.

CHANGEOVER

A display built for new campaigns.

To change a graphic, remove the silicone edge from the channel, check the frame and install the new face according to its orientation marks. Correct fit, clean hands and a tidy work area help protect the print.

Order replacement graphics against the exact frame drawing. Small changes in material, stitch line or finished dimensions can affect tension and appearance.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Built for branded environments.

The original page shows examples involving Nike, Under Armour, Ray-Ban and HiPP, alongside Boran Reklam’s wider reference portfolio. The company’s broader project work includes brands such as Bosch, Canon, Honda, Technogym, Siemens, Hilton Garden Inn and Miele.

Each project has its own print, frame and installation scope. Review the references and case studies for more context.

PRODUCTION TO DELIVERY

One brief for the entire system.

Send dimensions, installation drawings, viewing direction, LED requirements, artwork and schedule. We can coordinate aluminium frame production, graphic printing, silicone-edge finishing, quality checks and protective packing as one project.

For multi-location work, include the store list and variant artwork. Components can be labelled by location, frame and side for easier delivery and installation.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

What does SEG mean?

SEG stands for silicone-edge graphics. A silicone strip sewn to the fabric fits into a channel in the aluminium frame and tensions the graphic across the front.

Can the fabric graphic be replaced?

Yes, when a new graphic is produced to the approved frame dimensions and fabric specification. The frame and lighting can remain installed if they are in good condition.

Can the frame be made to a custom size?

Yes. Dimensions, profile depth, lighting and mounting are designed around the project. Larger systems may require modular sections.

SPECIFICATION

Are all LED lightboxes dimmable?

No. Brightness control needs a compatible driver and specification. Mention dimming early so the correct components can be selected.

Is the graphic washable?

Cleaning depends on the fabric and print process. Follow the care instructions approved for the supplied graphic rather than assuming machine or hand washing is suitable.

Can you supply graphics for existing frames?

Potentially. Send the frame profile, visible size, silicone channel and an existing graphic or drawing so fit and material compatibility can be checked.
