THE PROJECT
A Six-Metre Canvas of Light
Boran Reklam produced a 6-metre-high illuminated art column featuring the work of artist Emre Namyeter.
The project transformed the artwork into a monumental illuminated installation. Rather than treating the printed surface as a conventional graphic, the production was developed around the way colour, image detail and light would interact across the entire architectural-scale structure.
The completed installation demonstrates how large-format digital production can become an integral part of a contemporary artwork.
TRANSLATING ARTWORK INTO LIGHT
Designed to Be Seen Illuminated
Producing an artwork for illumination requires a different approach from conventional photographic or graphic printing.
The image had to maintain its original visual character once illuminated. At six metres in height, even small inconsistencies in colour, light or surface appearance could become visible across the structure.
The production therefore required careful control of:

- Image consistency
- Backlit appearance
- Surface uniformity
- Large-format production
- Overall visual balance

Vibrant Colour at Monumental Scale
One of the defining characteristics of the finished installation is the vibrancy of its colours. Light becomes part of the artwork itself rather than simply illuminating the printed surface.
Production was carefully controlled so that the artwork maintained a strong and consistent colour presence across the entire six-metre structure.

Six Metres of Light and Colour
At six metres high, the work required the visual consistency of an architectural installation rather than a conventional printed artwork.
The finished column retained the vibrant colour character of Emre Namyeter’s artwork while creating a powerful illuminated presence within the space.
The final work was highly appreciated by the collector, confirming the success of the production approach.
